2021 Ohio Soccer Outlook: Introduction

Updated: Jan 1, 2021

January 1, 2021. I don’t think there has ever been a day in my lifetime with so much weight and anticipation. One of the most comforting characteristics of this day has been the relatively uneventfulness. An uneventfulness that comes with a sense of accomplishment, reflection and the knowledge that we have so much work to do. Reflection of all that 2020 was and looking forward to all that 2021 can be. So much was lost in 2020; traditions, opportunity, time and people. Although so much was lost, so much has survived and so many new opportunities, traditions and relationships have been revealed. Now it is up to us as a community to build our future together.

Personally I want to thank all of you, all of our sponsors and partners, parents and coaches, clubs and players. I want to thank you not only for your support of Columbus Soccer Moms and Dads but more specifically your support of youth soccer; youth soccer players and youth soccer professionals. In 2021, I want to encourage us all to continue this same sense of community, regardless of any personal struggles, isolation and rivalry. We’ve shown that we can do hard things, we can come together to support all soccer.

Over the next 8 weeks we will have a series of posts featuring some of Columbus Soccer Moms and Dads biggest supporters, local leagues and most anticipated events. We will celebrate the people and organizations committed to soccer in Ohio.

In the meantime, I encourage you to learn more about the clubs, professionals and organizations that support Columbus Soccer Moms and Dads making everything we do possible. You can do that by following the links below and then visiting their websites.
